Origin
The Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes R is produced in the Beaune appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. This premier cru vineyard is renowned for its quality terroir and traditional Burgundian winemaking heritage.
Variety
This wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, the signature red grape variety of Burgundy, known for producing elegant and complex wines.
Production
The grapes are hand-harvested from the Bressandes premier cru vineyard. The winemaking process follows traditional Burgundian methods, including fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aging in French oak barrels, a portion of which are new, to develop complexity and structure. The aging period typically lasts 12 to 18 months before bottling.
Tasting notes
The Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes R offers a deep ruby color with aromas of red berries, cherry, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and flavors of ripe red fruit complemented by hints of spice and oak. The finish is elegant and persistent.
Food pairings
- Roasted duck or game birds
- Grilled or braised red meats
- Mushroom-based dishes
- Soft to medium-aged cheeses such as Brie or Camembert
- Hearty stews and casseroles
