Produced in Portugal, DFJ VINHOS sources grapes from the Douro Valley, a renowned wine region known for its ideal terroir for fortified wines.

This Port-style wine is typically made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties common to the Douro region, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca.

The production involves fermenting the grape must partially before fortification with grape spirit (aguardente) to stop fermentation, preserving natural sugars and resulting in a medium sweet profile. The wine is then aged to develop its characteristic flavors and balance.
