Origin
Barolo Perno is produced in the Piedmont region of Italy, specifically from the Perno vineyard located in the commune of Monforte d'Alba, a renowned area within the Barolo DOCG zone.
Variety
The wine is made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, the traditional variety used for Barolo wines.
Production
The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a long maceration period to extract color, tannins, and aromas. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for an extended period, typically 24 to 36 months, followed by additional bottle aging to develop complexity and balance.
