Origin
Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, the Messias Colheita Porto is crafted in one of the most renowned Port wine regions in the world. The Douro Valley is recognized for its unique terroir and traditional winemaking methods.
Variety
The wine is typically made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties used in Port production, including but not limited to Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Cão.
Production
Messias Colheita Porto is a single-vintage Tawny Port, meaning it is made from grapes harvested in a single year and aged in wooden casks for an extended period, often over seven years. The aging process in oak barrels allows gradual oxidation and evaporation, developing complex flavors and a smooth texture. The wine is bottled without blending with other vintages, preserving the character of the harvest year.
Tasting notes
- Appearance: Deep amber to golden brown color with brilliant clarity.
- Aroma: Rich and complex bouquet featuring dried fruits such as figs and raisins, toasted nuts, caramel, and subtle spice notes.

- Dark chocolate and dried fruit desserts
- Roasted nuts and charcuterie boards
- As a digestif, served slightly chilled or at cellar temperature
