Origin
KISI is a traditional Georgian wine produced in the Kakheti region of Georgia, known for its ancient winemaking heritage and unique qvevri fermentation methods.
Variety
The wine is made from the Kisi grape variety, an indigenous white grape native to Georgia, prized for its aromatic complexity and aging potential.
Production
KISI by GLEKHURI is crafted using traditional Georgian winemaking techniques. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in qvevri—large clay vessels buried underground—allowing natural fermentation with skins and stems. The wine is aged in qvevri for several months, developing its distinctive amber color and complex flavor profile.
