Origin
Meursault Charmes 1er Cru is produced in the Meursault appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. This vineyard is renowned for its exceptional terroir and high-quality white wines.
Variety
The wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, the signature white grape variety of Burgundy.
Production
Boyer-Martenot employs traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques for this Premier Cru. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with a portion of new oak used to enhance complexity. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged on fine lees for several months to develop richness and texture.
