Origin
Produced in the Meursault appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. This area is renowned for its exceptional white wines made from Chardonnay grapes.
Variety
100% Chardonnay grape variety, known for producing rich and complex white wines with great aging potential.
Production
The wine is crafted using traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with a portion of new oak to enhance complexity. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged on fine lees for several months to develop texture and depth.
Tasting notes
- Appearance: Pale golden yellow with brilliant clarity.
- Aroma: Intense bouquet featuring notes of white flowers, ripe orchard fruits such as pear and apple, complemented by hints of toasted almond and subtle vanilla from oak aging.
- Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced with a creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and flavors of citrus, stone fruits, and a mineral undertone. The finish is long and elegant with a slight buttery nuance.
Food pairings
Ideal to accompany refined dishes such as:
- Roasted or grilled white meats (chicken, veal)
- Seafood dishes including lobster, scallops, and grilled fish
- Rich creamy sauces and mushroom-based recipes
- Soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert
