Origin
Meursault Les Narvaux is produced in the Meursault appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. The vineyard Les Narvaux is known for its quality terroir contributing to the distinctive character of the wine.
Variety
This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, the signature white grape variety of the Burgundy region.
Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure quality. The wine undergoes fermentation in oak barrels, with a portion of new oak to enhance complexity. Aging on fine lees is practiced to develop texture and richness, typically lasting 12 to 18 months before bottling.
Tasting notes
Meursault Les Narvaux displays a brilliant golden color with aromas of ripe orchard fruits, such as apple and pear, complemented by subtle notes of toasted hazelnuts and vanilla from oak aging. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with a creamy texture, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
Food pairings
- Roasted poultry, especially chicken or turkey
- Seafood dishes with butter or cream sauces
- Soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert
- Mushroom risotto or other creamy grain dishes
