Production
The Montlouis Brut Tradition is crafted using traditional méthode traditionnelle (traditional method) for sparkling wines. The process includes a secondary fermentation in the bottle to develop fine bubbles and complexity. The wine is aged on lees to enhance texture and flavor depth before disgorgement and final bottling.
Tasting notes
- Appearance: Pale golden color with fine, persistent bubbles.
- Aroma: Fresh and vibrant nose with notes of white flowers, citrus fruits, green apple, and subtle hints of brioche from lees aging.
- Palate: Crisp and lively with balanced acidity, flavors of lemon zest, pear, and a mineral undertone. The mousse is creamy and elegant, finishing with a refreshing, dry finish.
Food pairings
- Seafood dishes such as oysters, scallops, and shrimp.
- Light appetizers including goat cheese, smoked salmon, and fresh salads.
- Asian cuisine with subtle spice, like sushi or Thai dishes.
- Celebratory occasions as an aperitif or with light poultry dishes.
