Origin
Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, a renowned wine region known for its unique terroir and centuries-old tradition of Port wine production.
Variety
Made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties typical of the Douro region, often including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and others suited for rosé Port styles.
Production
The wine undergoes a controlled fermentation process with limited skin contact to achieve its characteristic rosé color and fresh fruit profile. Fortification is done by adding grape spirit (aguardente) to stop fermentation, preserving natural sweetness and alcohol strength. The wine is then aged for a short period to maintain its vibrant and fresh style before bottling.
Tasting notes
- Color: Bright salmon pink with a luminous clarity.
