Origin
Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, a renowned wine region known for its unique terroir and ideal conditions for Port wine production.
Variety
Made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties typical of Vintage Port, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão.
Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with the addition of grape spirit (aguardente) to stop fermentation early, preserving natural sugars and resulting in a fortified wine. The wine is aged in barrels for a short period before bottling to mature further in the bottle over many years.
