Year Old Porto Tawny 2020

Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, a renowned region for Port wine production. Barros is a well-established Port house with a long tradition in crafting quality fortified wines.

Blended from traditional Douro grape varieties commonly used in Port production, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão.

The Barros Tawny Port is aged in wooden casks for a minimum of 10 years, allowing gradual oxidation and evaporation that develop its characteristic amber color and complex flavor profile. The wine is fortified with grape spirit to halt fermentation, preserving natural sweetness and enhancing longevity.

• Appearance: Deep amber with golden highlights.
• Aroma: Rich notes of dried fruits such as figs and raisins, complemented by hints of nuts, caramel, and subtle spices.
• Palate: Smooth and velvety texture with flavors of toasted almonds, honey, and a balanced sweetness. Long, warming finish with a delicate oxidative character.
