Fundador Porto Tawny

Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, by Real Companhia Velha, one of the oldest and most prestigious Port wine houses established in 1756.

The wine is a blend of traditional Douro grape varieties typically used in Port production, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão.

The grapes are harvested from the Douro region and fermented with the addition of grape spirit to stop fermentation early, preserving natural sweetness and alcohol content. The wine is then aged in oak casks for an extended period to develop the characteristic tawny color and complex flavors.

• Appearance: Deep amber to tawny color with a clear, bright intensity.
• Aroma: Rich aromas of dried fruits such as figs and raisins, complemented by notes of nuts, caramel, and subtle spices.
• Palate: Smooth and well-balanced with flavors of toasted nuts, honey, and dried fruit, finishing with a pleasant sweetness and a long, warming aftertaste.
