Porto Tawny

Produced in the Douro Valley region of Portugal, the traditional and historic area for Port wine production.

Blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties commonly used in Tawny Port production, such as:

• Touriga Nacional
• Touriga Franca
• Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo)
• Tinta Barroca
• Tinto Cão

The wine is produced by fermenting the grape must and then fortifying it with grape spirit (aguardente) to stop fermentation, preserving natural sweetness. It is then aged in wooden casks for an extended period, allowing oxidative aging that develops the characteristic tawny color and complex flavors.

Royal Oporto NV Tawny Port displays a rich amber to tawny color with aromas of dried fruits, nuts, caramel, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced with flavors of toasted almonds, figs, and honey, finishing with a gentle sweetness and lingering complexity.

• Perfect accompaniment to desserts such as crème brûlée, almond tart, or dried fruit-based pastries.
• Pairs well with blue cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort.
• Excellent served slightly chilled as an aperitif or with nuts and dark chocolate.
