Royal Oporto Vintage 1997

Produced in the Douro Valley, Portugal, one of the oldest and most prestigious wine regions known for Port wine production.

This Vintage Port is typically crafted from a blend of traditional Douro grape varieties, including:

The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo traditional foot-treading fermentation in lagares (granite troughs). The wine is then aged in oak barrels for a short period before bottling to preserve its youthful character. Vintage Port is bottled unfiltered and intended for long-term aging in bottle, developing complexity over decades.

Royal Oporto Vintage exhibits a deep ruby color with intense aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and plum, complemented by floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with firm tannins and balanced acidity, offering a long, elegant finish with layers of dark chocolate and dried fruit nuances.
