Mezcal Varietypack 6*3pk 200ml

Mala Mia Mezcal is produced in Mexico, the traditional and authentic region for mezcal production. The brand sources agave from various regions known for their unique terroirs, contributing to the distinct profiles of each variety included in the pack.

This variety pack includes a selection of different agave species used in the production of Mala Mia mezcal, showcasing the diversity of flavors and aromas typical of mezcal:

• Espadín (Agave angustifolia)
• Madrecuixe (Agave karwinskii)
• Tepextate (Agave marmorata)

Mala Mia mezcal is crafted using traditional artisanal methods. The agave hearts (piñas) are slow-roasted in earthen pits lined with volcanic rock, imparting a characteristic smoky flavor. After roasting, the agave is crushed using a tahona (stone wheel) pulled by mule or tractor. The mash is then fermented naturally with wild yeasts in wooden vats before being distilled in copper pot stills. Each variety is produced separately to preserve its unique characteristics before being bottled in 200ml bottles for the variety pack.

The Mala Mia Mezcal Variety Pack offers a complex tasting experience with each agave type presenting distinct profiles:

• Espadín: Bright and balanced with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and a gentle smoky finish.
• Madrecuixe: Earthy and herbal with hints of green pepper, mineral undertones, and a lingering smoky character.
• Tepextate: Robust and intense with complex layers of spice, floral notes, and pronounced smokiness.

Mala Mia mezcal pairs well with a variety of foods that complement its smoky and complex flavor profile:

• Grilled seafood such as shrimp or octopus
• Spicy Mexican dishes like chiles en nogada or mole
• Charcuterie and aged cheeses
• Roasted vegetables and earthy mushrooms
• Dark chocolate desserts for a balanced finish
