Origin
Nebbiolo d'Alba is produced in the Alba area, located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. This region is renowned for its ideal terroir for Nebbiolo grapes, featuring calcareous clay soils and a continental climate that contributes to the wine's distinctive character.
Variety
The wine is made exclusively from the Nebbiolo grape variety, known for its thick skins and late ripening, which imparts complex aromas and firm tannins.
Production
The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a controlled fermentation process in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal aromas. Maceration on the skins lasts approximately 10 to 15 days to extract color, tannins, and flavor. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for several months to enhance complexity and structure before bottling.
